How many people attend the Festival each year?
We expect about 5,000 to 6,000 festival-goers each year. 

How many days does the Festival last?
Just one. It always takes place on a Saturday. This year it will take place on Saturday, June 14.

How many years has the Crepe Myrtle Festival taken place?
2008 will mark the Festival’s 15th year.

Is the Festival family friendly?
Absolutely. Every member ofthe family will find something to keep them busy!

Can I bring my dog to the Festival?
No, Walton County does not allow dogs in county parks.

How much does it cost to attend the Crepe Myrtle Festival?
The entrance fee for adults is $2. Children and senior citizens are $1. Children under 5 get in free and those with military ID get in free.

Is it hard to find parking? Will I have to walk far?
Parking is plentiful and free. Golf carts are used to shuttle Festival attendees from their cars to the park.

What’s the weather like?
Georgia weather can be unpredictable, but generally it is pretty hot. Mornings are usually mild, but temperatures can spike in the afternoon. The park offers plenty of shade to escape the sun, and vendors sell smoothies and snow cones to keep people cool.

What do you do with proceeds from the Festival?
We award a scholarship to one student from each Walton County High School to use toward postsecondary education. We also give money toward improving Hammond Park, where the Festival is held.

How can I apply for a scholarship?
Scholarships are awarded by each high school. If you attend high school in Walton County, contact your school counselor.

Can I donate to the Crepe Myrtle Festival or become a sponsor?

Can I have a booth at the Crepe Myrtle Festival?
We always welcome new vendors each year. To apply, fill out the application. Vendors are chosen by jury selection with preference given to vendors showcasing handmade products.

Are all of the items sold at the Festival handmade?
Vendors are chosen by jury selection and we try very hard to ensure that most of the items sold are handmade.
